UXAFORES participates in a workshop on biomass
A workshop entitled “Forest resources in Galicia: Digitalization and sustainability in biomass use” will be held on 4th June in the Higher Polytechnic Engineering School (EPSE) of the USC.
The workshop is organized by the Galician Biomass Cluster in collaboration with the Galician Regional Government and the UXAFORES research group (EPSE.)
Lectures on the following topics will be held in the morning session: sustainable forest management; biomass estimation modelling; forest traceability (and the FORTRA tool); and stock estimation using the Galician Continuous Forest Inventory. A visit to the facilities of Beigal (biomass wood chip producers) will be held in the evening.
