New projects on forest fires approved, another award for the future “Timbersoul” spin-off, and presentation of structural calculation tool
The research project “Bioeconomy of Salix” (FEADER 2017 / 019A), led by the company Industrias del Tablero S.A. (INTASA) and with the participation of the Sustainable Environmental and Forest Management Unit (UXAFORES) of the University of Santiago de Compostela, has concluded.
Members of the Universities of Santiago de Compostela and Vigo involved in research on the continuous forest inventory and the General Director for Forest Planning and Management, José Luis Chan, participated in the video workshop
At a press conference held on 13 February by the Xunta de Galicia (Galician Regional Government), the president Alberto Núñez Feijóo announced that authorization had been given to sign an agreement between the Xunta and two universities to develop a Galician Forest Inventory that will be updated annually.
