Investiture ceremony to award Klaus von Gadow with an honorary doctorate

Investiture ceremony held for UXAFORES collaborator awarded with the first honorary doctorate given by the Campus de Lugo.

The investiture of Professor Klaus von Gadow, who has been awarded an honorary doctorate by the USC, was held at the Higher Polytechnic Engineering School in Lugo on 28 June. Professor von Gadow has collaborated with the UXAFORES research group since it was formed and has had a great influence on the development of the research careers of many of its members. The solemn bestowal ceremony was an emotional homage in which UXAFORES members thanked Prof. Gadow for his help throughout many years.

The ceremony was attended by representatives of different universities in Spain and Mexico where forestry courses are taught -and with which the professor is associated- as well as by representatives of various research centres and companies.
